What we collect
We collect only what we need in order to help you, and it depends on how you reach us.
- Contact details you give us voluntarily: name, email address and phone number.
- The content of your message, including whatever you choose to tell us about your reason for consulting.
- If you become a patient, the clinical information generated during your care, as part of your medical record.
Health information is treated differently
Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 classifies health data as sensitive data. That means two things we want you to be clear about.
First: you are not obliged to give us sensitive information. You can write to us without telling us your reason for consulting, and we will still help you.
Second: when you do share it, we handle it under a reinforced duty of care and use it only to provide dental care. We do not use it for advertising and we do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
Medical records are additionally governed by health regulations, with their own rules on confidentiality and retention.
Data concerning minors
We treat patients who are minors. Their data is processed only where it serves their best interests and with the authorisation of a parent or legal guardian.
What we use your data for
We use your data for these purposes and no others:
- To answer your enquiry and arrange an appointment.
- To provide dental care and follow up afterwards.
- To meet the legal, accounting and health obligations that apply to us.
- To send you information about your treatment. We do not send marketing unless you authorise it separately and expressly.
Your rights
As the data subject, the law grants you these rights, and exercising them is free of charge:
- To know, update and correct your data.
- To request proof of the authorisation you gave us, except where the law does not require it.
- To be informed about how your data has been used.
- To file complaints with the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce for breaches of the law.
- To withdraw your authorisation and ask us to delete your data, where no legal or contractual duty requires us to keep it. Medical records have their own retention periods that we cannot disregard.
- To access the data we hold about you, free of charge.
How to exercise them
Write to info@juanitapulido.com stating which right you wish to exercise and attaching proof of identity. If you are writing on someone else’s behalf, we also need proof that you represent them.
We answer enquiries within ten (10) business days and claims within fifteen (15) business days, under articles 14 and 15 of Law 1581 of 2012. If we cannot meet those deadlines, we will tell you why and when we will respond.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as the relationship that justifies it lasts and, afterwards, for the periods required by accounting, tax and health regulations. Once those periods end, we delete it.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. No measure removes the risk entirely, and we are not going to tell you otherwise.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will publish the new version here with its effective date. If the change affects the purposes for which we use your data, we will tell you before applying it.
